PIERRE, (KCCR) — July is National Vehicle Theft Prevention Month. After exceeding the 1-million mark in 2022, Triple-A is warning vehicle owners to be extra careful in securing their vehicles. He says never leave your vehicle running with the key in it even for a short time and never leave your keys anywhere in your parked vehicle. Close and lock all windows and doors every time and everywhere you park your vehicle.
If you find your vehicle’s been stolen, report it to law enforcement immediately.
