Rounds discussion with Powell was a part of a hearing before the Senate Banking Committee. The hearing was Powell’s semiannual appearance before the committee to address monetary policy in the United States. Rounds also asked Powell about possible to revisions to the Basel III Endgame proposal. According to the Joint Economics Committee, the average South Dakota family is paying over a thousand dollars a month more per month for needs such as shelter food and energy than when President Joe Biden first took office.
