Pierre Governors Luke Olson and Sawyer Sonnenschein would both finish in the top three on Tuesday after a two day event in Rapid City as Olson finished second and Sonnenschein third.
The event was played at Red Rock on Monday and Meadowbrook Golf Course on Tuesday. Olson was four shots behind leader and winner Riley Christiansen of Sioux Falls. Olson was the clubhouse leader after the first day with a 72 and then finished with a 149 in total, just five over par as Christiansen would shoot a 145 overall. Sonnenschein in third would finish just two shots back of Olson at 151. Governor Nick Bothun would finish three shots outside the top ten with a 159 in 12th place. Lincoln Houska would tie for 19th at 165 while Jack Bartlett would tie for 23rd at 168. Onida’s Gavin Colson would shoot a 172 finishing in 32nd place. Colson had a hole-in-one during his practice round on Sunday.

Olson leads the Sanford Series in points while Sonnenschein is tied for second and Bothun is sixth. Houska is 14th in standings and Colson is 15th as they for sure qualify for the championship event next week.
