The Oahe Zap had 14 runs on 14 hits on Wednesday in Spearfish to end its 11 game losing streak with a 14-10 win over the Sasquatch.
Oahe scored seven runs in the top of the eight to go from a 5-4 deficit to a 11-5 lead adding another three runs scored in the ninth as Tyler Hoffman and Leandro Guevara would lead the way for the Zap each having three hits while Mike Maanum had three RBIs to help propel the Zap to a win. Vince Pollizi had a double as he, Maanum and Jackson Mix each had two hits. Mix and Guevara each tripled for the Zap. Mix had two RBIs and Guevara, Pollizi, Buck Snabes, Hoffman, Will Calcaterra and Emiliano Curiel-Montijo all had an RBI as eight of the nine hitters would drive in a run. Juluis Kass would get the win for the Zap as he threw in the sixth and seventh allowing just one hit, one walk and three strikeouts. He was the only pitcher as both teams combined for eight, to not allow a run in his outing.
Oahe moves to 4-19 on the season and will play game two of the series tonight with first pitch at 7:05 in Spearfish.
