It was a four game sweep all said and told for the Casper Spuds over the Oahe Zap this last week including two high scoring wins for the Spuds on Saturday and Sunday.
Casper would win on Saturday 26-0 as the Spuds would score nine runs in the fifth and another eight in the sixth. The Spuds had two doubles, a triple and two home runs as 24 of the 26 runs were earned in the loss for the Zap.
On Sunday, Casper still scored 14 runs in a 14-9 win having another five run fifth inning and leading 12-6 at the end of five. Jackson Mix would hit a sole shot for Oahe to lead off the game to help try and put Saturday’s loss behind them. Emiliano Curiel-Montijo, Tyler Hoffman, Leandro Guevara and Buck Snabes all would have an RBI for the Zap. Mason Lang had two doubles.
Oahe is now 3-17 on the season and the losing streak has reached nine straight. The Zap to start a five game series against Spearfish. The first two games will be at Hyde Stadium with games three through five in Spearfish. First pitch tonight is at 6:05 in Pierre.
