For the second time this season, the Oahe Zap would fall to Spearfish in a single game series as the Sasquatch would take Tuesday’s game in a 6-1 final score.
Spearfish would pick up three runs in the first inning all with two outs as the Sasquatch were off and running from the start. Oahe would allow an unearned run in the third and another unearned run in a two run seventh trailing 6-0. Oahe’s only run would come with a two out error in the top of the eighth off the bat of Aiden Johnson as the Zap had just four hits in the game including a double by Leandro Guevara. Jakob Swallow would pick up the loss on the mound settling in after the three run first going five innings on eighth hits, one walk and six strikeouts. Spearfish used four pitchers to get through the nine innings for the win to even their record at 8-8.
Oahe falls to 3-13 on the season and will return home to start a four game set with the Casper Spuds. Oahe and Casper will play tonight and Thursday before a day off of traveling to Casper playing on Saturday and Sunday. First pitch from Hyde Stadium is at 6:05.
