The Oahe Zap would fall in all three of its games on the weekend at home to the Hastings Sodbusters with a 3-1, 2-0 and 4-2 losses as Oahe drops to 3-12 on the year.
On Friday, Leandro Guevara would get the lone RBI as he would pinch hit and collect a double in the bottom of the ninth after Hastings picked up two insurance runs to make it 3-0 heading into the bottom half of the inning. Mason Lang had the only other hit.
On Saturday, Hastings’ Braden Cork would go seven shutout innings giving up just three hits. Alec Vincent, Cole Ottersberg and Brayden Bynum each had a hit.
A three run top of the fourth was enough for the Sodbusters in the series finale to collect the sweep on Sunday as Alexiel Delgado had a three run bomb. Jackson Mix drove in both runs on a two RBI double in the bottom of the fifth. Oahe had the tying run at the plate in the ninth, but fell just short as they have now dropped four straight.
Heading into the day off on Monday, Oahe sits 8.5 games out of the Independence League lead as Casper is 10-2. The Zap travel to Spearfish for a lone game on Tuesday before returning back home to face Casper on Wednesday.
