The Spearfish Sasquatch would get its first win of the season on Tuesday knocking off the Oahe Zap at Hyde Stadium with a 10-6 win.
Spearfish would score four runs in the top of the first to control the game from the start, but Jackson Mix would hit a solo shot in the bottom of the first to try and jump start the offense. Leondra Guevara went 4-4 at the plate driving in a run while Vince Pollizi had two RBIs and Aidan Johnson had an RBI in the loss as the Zap drop its third straight game. Oahe was outhit 15-11, but offensively, the Zap did enough to get a win. After Brady Glenn’s excellent start on Thursday to start the season, he was hit around for 13 Spearfish hits in five innings pitched with two walks and four strikeouts, he allowed seven runs with six earned.
Oahe will travel to Hastings on Thursday for a three game set against the Sodbusters. First pitch is at 6:35 on Thursday.
