The Pierre Governor softball team will close out the regular season this weekend with two games on Friday and a game on Saturday in Sioux Falls.
Pierre will face both Harrisburg and Roosevelt today and then Washington on Saturday. Pierre faces Harrisburg first, the two seed in the AA standings at 16-2, having lost only to the two undefeated teams in the state in Lincoln and West Central. The Tigers are poised for a deep playoff run and potentially the Governors opponent in the SoDak 16. The Govs will then face Roosevelt, who on the other side of the standings. The Roughriders are 4-12 and in 13th place in the standings. Pierre at 3-13 are in 15th place. Pierre will finish the weekend and regular season with another top five team in the Washington Warriors. Washington is coming into the weekend at 12-3 and in third place in the AA standings.
First pitch today against Harrisburg is at 12:00 followed by Roosevelt. Pierre and Washington will have first pitch at 10:00 AM on Saturday to close out the regular season.
