Electrical infrastructure along 4th Street has been damaged in recent years from vehicle crashes. Two guardrails are planned for installation near two transmission poles along 4th Street while a third guardrail would protect switch gear along 4th Street near the State Health Lab. The city was hoping to have the work done by September, but the rejection of the bid could delay the project into next year.
