The Augustana Vikings baseball team would win in the second round of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference tournament on Thursday 12-5 over Wayne State.
The top seed in the NSIC tournament would get a two run homer from Jack Hines in the bottom of the first to get the Vikings in the lead 2-1. Hines would pick up four RBIs in the win. Max Mosser would get three RBIs as he would drive in two in the bottom of the fourth of a 3-3 game to give the Vikings the lead for good.
Augustana will face Minnesota State in the winner’s bracket championship at 12:00. A win will put them into the conference championship, but a loss will have them play again on Friday and will need three straight wins to win the conference title.
