The Augustana Vikings have continued its shutout streak to a fourth game with a 1-0 victory over Oklahoma Baptist in the first game of the NCAA Division II Softball Tournament.
The Vikings were able to get its only run of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning with a Nicole Bellis RBI two out bases loaded walk. The only run of the game as Augustana outhit Oklahoma Baptist 6-1. Grace Glanzer allowed just one hit, her fourth hit overall in the postseason striking out two and walking one. Desi Cuevas had a double, the only extra base hit of the game.
Augustana moves into the winner’s bracket and will face Regional host Pittsburg State at 11:00 today. Pittsburg State beat Southeran Arkansas 4-3 in the first round.
