The Bismarck Bobcats would knock off the Aberdeen Wings 4-1 on Monday to eliminate the Wings in a decisive game five in the first round of the NAHL Playoffs.
Bismarck scored twice in the first period and led 3-0 late in the third period before Aberdeen would score its only goal from Matthew Wisener. But an empty netter with under a minute to go would seal the win for the Bobcats who will face the Minot Minotauros in the central division finals.
Aberdeen would outshoot the Bobcats 30-29. The Wings went 0-3 on the powerplay all coming down just 2-0 while the Bobcats went 1-2 on the man advantage. Adam Dybal made 25 saves on the evening.
The Bobcats will travel to Minot to begin the best-of-five series. The winner will advance to the NAHL semifinals.
