The Sully Buttes Chargers will get the Potter County Battlers in the first round of the Region Tournament tonight in the 4-5 matchup, but this time it will be in Onida.
The two teams met earlier in the season in Gettysburg, but it was the Battlers who did get the win over the Chargers 47-39 to at the time give Potter County the advantage to be the higher seed at the end of the season. However, the Chargers finished the season at 11-9 and its big win over the tough Faulkton Area Trojans helped keep Sully Buttes ahead of Potter County. The Battlers finished the year at 10-10 having won its last two games of the season, but against teams with poor records. The Chargers look for revenge and to end the Battlers season while the winner of tonight’s game will most likely face the top seed in the Lyman Raiders in Presho on Thursday for a spot in the SoDak 16.
