Three Oahe Capitals teams will be competing at state tournaments throughout the state starting this weekend as both Peewee teams will travel East to Sioux Center and Mitchell while the Girls 14U team looks to defend its title in Huron.
Girls 14U
The Girls 14U team will be looking to defend its title as they are the second seed coming into the tournament in Huron. The Lady Caps went 13-3 only losing to Sioux Falls, the top seed, twice and once to Sioux Center, the four seed. Oahe opens the tournament against the seven seed and host Huron at 3:00 on Friday. The Caps look to playing at 3:00 again on Sunday which is scheduled puck drop for the state championship.
Peewee A
The Capitals Peewee A team will be in Sioux Center this weekend as the Caps are the seven seed heading into the state tournament. Oahe finished 5-11 on the season and will face the Brookings Rangers, the two seed, in the first round of the state tournament today at 3:00.
Peewee B
The Capitals Peewee B team is also the sixth seed this weekend in Mitchell. Oahe went 3-11 this year and will face the 11-2-0-1 Brookings Rangers in the first round of the state tournament at 4:30 on Friday.
