The Stanley County Buffaloes will be on the road tonight to face the Bennett County Warriors in a game originally scheduled for the consolation championship of the Jones County Tournament for Stanley County.
The final day of the Jones County Tournament back on Saturday, January 13 was canceled because of the extreme cold temperatures. However, all the final day games were still played at various dates to conclude the tournament. Stanley County was going to play Lyman in the consolation championship but because they are playing against each other at the end of the season, the Buffs and Warriors will now play to ensure Bennett County will play its 20 games. Bennett County, though, is starting a tumultuous path of games. After playing on Friday and Saturday last weekend, this is the third game of stretch of 11 games in 18 days to close out the season. The Warriors were just 3-6 heading into the last weekend.
