The Pierre Governors would take care of business in three of its four duals on Saturday at the East/West Duals with the only loss to the Sturgis Scoopers going 3-1 on the day.

Pierre would defeat Spearfish 67-6 before taking down Rapid City Stevens 42-29 and Rapid City Central 61-10. Sturgis, though, would knock off the Governors 36-22 to finish off the day and give the Govs its first dual loss of the season.

Pierre would lose a total of three matches to Spearfish and Central and one of those three losses was a forfeit. In the Stevens dual the Govs would get pinfall wins by Lucas Chamberlain, Sam Larson, Trey Lewis, Chance Carda, Tirstan Spencer and Jaxon Ducheneaux to secure its third win of the day. Then in the final dual, Sturgis would build a 36-10 lead heading into the final three matches which put the separation and enough for the Scoopers to get the 36-22 win. Elijah Boutchee and Ducheneaux would have the two pinfall wins for the Govs while Spencer, Chamberlain and Lewis would also pick up victories in the loss.
