Huizenga currently serves as Commission liaison for the airport, engineering department, solid waste, landfill and planning and zoning departments and serves on the Pierre Economic Development and Business Improvement District number Two Board. The term of Commissioner Todd Johnson is also up for election in 2024. Possible candidates for the Pierre City Commission can take petitions out starting March 1st and must return them to the Pierre Municipal Building by March 26th at five pm. The term of Commissioner Todd Johnson is also expiring in 2024.
