PIERRE — The Pierre School Board’s June meeting is scheduled for tonight at the District Administration building on Poplar Avenue. The Board will consider approval of a nine-item consent calendar before moving into regular agenda items. Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt will brief Board members with comments followed by Board and public comments. The Board will discuss goals for the 2023-24 school year and give first reading to changes to the high school and athletic handbooks. Second reading and possible adoption of three handbook revisions are on the agenda. Board members will take action on a special education comprehensive plan and will conduct the canvass of the recent school board election results. Other agenda items include considering bids for garbage and recycling; insurance and worker’s compensation coverage, donations, open enrollment requests, resignations and contract items. The Pierre School Board meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
