PIERRE — Bicycle riders from around the region will be putting the pedal power down on LaFramboise Island Saturday. John Simpson of Pierre is Race Director for the Laframboise Island Bike Race and says the event has something for riders of all skill levels….
Last year’s race had 47 registered riders. Competitors in all divisions use the same trackage, but are spaced out to avoid faster riders from catching up to slower riders. That doesn’t mean faster riders might not catch up….
Simpson says LaFramboise Island remains open for other users during the race…
Entry into the LaFramboise Island Bike Race is 40-dollars. Riders 17 and under a free. Registration is from 8:30 to 10-am. A pre-race meeting starts at 10:15 am with the race to start at 10:30.
