The Pierre Governor tennis team is set to host its annual invitational tournament starting today with plenty of duals and then a bracket style tournament on Friday.
The Governors get a chance to go through what the ESD and state tournament will be like on Friday. It will be especially beneficial this year regardless of where they finish as only Devin Dodson has experience in an ESD/State tournament format. All schools participating in the bracket tournament are non ESD schools. The ESD tournament is scheduled for next week Tuesday. This will be the fifth annual Governor invite which started back in 2018 and did not compete in 2020 due to Covid-19.
Today the Governors are scheduled to face Lennox, Aberdeen Roncalli and Madison in three separate duals which begins at 10:00 AM at Griffin Park.
