The noon news on February 11th 2022 won a First Place Sevareid in the Newscast category and the use of Facebook LIVE for expanded coverage of both news and weather produced a pair of Eric Sevareid Awards in the Social Media category; First Place for weather and an Award of Merit for news. Eric Sevareid Awards are presented to a six-state region for radio and television in the small, medium and large market categories. They were presented this past weekend at the annual Midwest Journalism Conference in Minneapolis. Riverfront Broadcasting News has won 32 Sevareids since 2017.
