The Stanley County Buffaloes would split its doubleheader with the Miller Rustlers as the Miller girls would win 48-16 and the Stanley County boys would pick up its first win of the year 59-56.
The Miller girls controlled the game from the start as they swarmed to a 35-9 halftime lead over the Lady Buffs and enacted the running clock in the fourth quarter to pick up the win over Stanley County in its first game of the year. The Lady Buffs dropped to 0-2.
The Stanley County boys were in a see-saw battle with the Rustlers throughout the evening. Stanley County forced over 20 turnovers in its first win of the season as Kaden Montana dropped 22 for the Buffs in the win while Broch Zeeb had 18 as the Buffs held on in the final seconds to score its opening season win.
The Stanley County girls will be at home on Saturday to face White River. Tip-off is at 4:00.
