PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting will start in special business with a proclamation for Adult Education and Literacy Week. Commissioners will consider approval of a seven-item consent calendar before moving on to new business. Commissioners will get an update on construction of the Missouri River Bridge and will consider a request to purchase a replacement G-P-U for the Boarding Bridge at Pierre Regional Airport. The Commission will also consider approval of a grand award for an airport ARFF cart, change order and final payment for the Highland Avenue project and second readings of the 2023 budget ordinance and an update to the city water rate ordinance to remove the final eight-percent water rate increase for the drinking water treatment plant. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30pm.
