After a week long break the Pierre Governor soccer teams will return to the field as they travel out to Harrisburg to face the Tigers in an ESD contest.
Both the boys and girls teams are coming off a win on Thursday with exceptional second half performances. The Governor girls are at 5-2 and will take a three game winning streak into the match while Harrisburg is 5-0-1 and has outscored its opponents 20-0 over its three game winning streak. The only tie for the Tigers came 2-2 against Brandon Valley as Harrisburg sits in the top two spots of the standings. The Governors have climbed into the top five with its five wins which is tied for most in the state.
The Governor boys are 4-2-1 and have not lost in its last three games while the Harrisburg boys team is looking for just its second win. Harrisburg was shutout 4-0 to Watertown last Thursday for its only loss. The Tigers are 1-1-4 and have played to two scoreless ties and two 1-1 ties. Pierre is trying to crack the top eight as we approach the final stretch of the season to host a first round playoff matchup.
