PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. It’s a night with another light agenda with five items and the consent calendar. The calendar includes minutes from the June 14th meeting, the claims, three human resource items and a raffle request by American Legion Post 8. Two public hearings are on the agenda for 5:45 pm. They include public hearings for a rezone of land from ag to heavy industry for land near the city’s yard waste/recycling operation and for a hay lease. Commissioners will consider approval of a contract for a material storage site plan and a resolution regarding fees for property maintenance violations. The Commission will close out the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM.
