Pierre Post 8 will back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Watertown facing a team desperate to end its eight game losing streak. For the Eights, this comes off the heels of a rare weekend without a game.
Watertown was swept by Brookings on Sunday giving up four runs in the top of the seventh in game two blowing a 6-5 lead which dropped its record to 9-18. Post 17 has been swept by Yankton, Sioux Falls East, Harrisburg and Brookings all within the last week. Watertown’s South Dakota record is at 6-15 on the young season while Pierre is coming having won five of its last six games to reach .500 at 5-5 and are now 3-2 in South Dakota games. Pierre faces Watertown tonight before traveling to Sioux Falls for the Dakota Classic over the weekend with a matchup against Sioux Falls East on Saturday.
