Daysen Titze finished his round one score in third place and rained shortened the event where Titze stayed tied for third to close out his golf career with Stanley County.
Titze boogied hole 17 for his only blemish in his final three holes to finish out his first round. He also was just one shot from tying for first place as he was five over, 77. Bennett Cassens of Faulkton Area and Coy Determan of Gregory each shot a 76 in their round.
Gavin Colson finished in 27th place, Wesley Wittler was 77th and Thomas Farries 88th for the Sully Buttes Chargers. The team of Gregory finished five shots ahead of second place for the team state championship.
