The weather is already impacting Thursday events as the Pierre Governor Track and Field team were scheduled to head to Rapid City on Thursday for the Track-O-Rama, but instead the event has been postponed.
From Pierre Athletic Director Brian Moser, the track invite will be rescheduled for next week Tuesday, April 19. It’s a rare to see a track meet rescheduled but this one will happen with the rescheduled date.
With it being Easter weekend, the Governors did not have anything on the schedule for Friday or Saturday, so this will still be its next meet of the season. Pierre is now scheduled to have three events next week. Tuesday in Rapid City, Thursday in Onida and Friday at home for the American Legion Relays.
