Commissioner Tom Rounds says he’s not in favor of trying to combine the job of County Manager with that of a Deputy State’s Attorney. Commissioner Bill Abernathy says he wants Hipple’s replacement to spend as much time as he can learning from Hipple before he departs. Hipple noted that he is staying in the Pierre area and would be available for consultation as the county transitions to a new County Manager.
