The Potter County Battlers had little problem with the Ethan Rustlers on Tuesday as they cruised to a 78-47 win to clinch a berth into the Class B state tournament in Aberdeen.
The Battlers upped its win streak to 16 games and are now 22-1 on the season. Grant Luikens finished with a double-double with 27 points and 16 rebounds. Cooper Logan finished with 25 on the evening and Seth Sharp had 10 for the Battlers. Potter County was able to enact the running clock in the second half in the win.
Now, the Battlers will have a chance at revenge in the first round of the Class B state tournament. Potter County’s only loss came against the Aberdeen Christian Knights, their first round opponent. Game time of game two of the tournament in Aberdeen is scheduled for 1:45 on Thursday, March 17.
