The Stanley County girls begin its final week of the season as they host Kadoka Area while the boys will travel for its only game of the week to face Mobridge-Pollock.
The Lady Buffs have two final games this week, both at home, before the region tournament begins. Stanley County, at 3-15, will face a 12-5 Kadoka Area Kougar squad. Kadoka Area sits in fourth place in the 7B standings. The Kougars are fighting for the three seed to potentially face Wall in the SoDak 16 qualifier if seeds hold out instead of facing White River. Kadoka Area has won back-to-back games heading into tonight while the Lady Buffs have dropped three straight contests and seven of its last eight games.
The Stanley County Buffalo boys team will be facing a Region 6A foe as they travel to Mobridge to face the Tigers. Mobridge-Pollock comes in at 7-6 and in fourth place of the 6A standings, right behind the Buffaloes for the third spot. The Tigers have lost back-to-back games to Sully Buttes and Groton Area heading into tonight. The Buffs, at 12-5, are still chasing the Chamberlain Cubs for the two seed in the 6A standings and need a win over Mobridge-Pollock to keep pace heading into the final two weeks of the year. Chamberlain still has five games left to play with three against teams over .500.
The JV contest will begin at 6:00 in Mobridge tonight with the varsity game to follow while the JV will begin at 6:30 in Ft. Pierre with the varsity to follow.
