PIERRE — The Hughes County Commission is meeting tonight, a day later than normal because of the Martin Luther King holiday. Commissioners will get right into new business by considering a veteran’s services memorandum of understanding with River Cities Transit and will consider two planning and zoning items. They include the final plat for Peoria Flats tracts one and two and a restrictive covenant of lots 17 and 18 at Blue Water Acres. Commissioners will hear the Register of Deeds annual report; consider personnel items and the annual volunteer lists. The Commission will consider a jail recruiting contract, J-S-C contracts, an elevator repair, liaison appointments, the claims and will hear reports. The Hughes County Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM.
