By staying after losing the federal subsidy to operate out of Pierre Regional Airport, SkyWest was operating at “at-risk” without the federal benefit, which is not typical for air providers in the E-A-S program. The E-A-S contract with Denver Air runs through May of 2023. SkyWest’s final Pierre flight is January 3rd.
