The Governors remain undefeated after Saturday’s victory over Aberdeen with scores of 25-21, 25-13 and 25-21.
In the first set the Governors and Golden Eagles were tied 21-21. Pierre would finish out the final four points and it was never tied again other than the beginning of each set. Pierre would open up a 9-0 lead in the second set and would keep Aberdeen at arm’s length the rest of the set winning by 12. Pierre opened up a 6-0 lead again in the third set and held off a charge from the Golden Eagles to finish off the sweep and improve to 4-0 on the year.
Pierre finished with 10 aces in the match, five coming from junior Remi Price. Ayvrie Kaiser finished with seven kills to lead the Govs while Reese Terwilliger and Makenna Schlekeway each picked up six kills.
