The Pierre Trappers were unable to answer the eighth inning three run home run from the Wheat City Whiskey Jacks and fell 12-7 at home in the finale of a three game home set as the Whiskey Jacks took the series two games to one.
Pierre took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the third inning from two passed balls and a wild pitch but it was then answered in the top of the fourth with another three runs from the Whiskey Jacks. The Trappers were able to then answer both times in the fifth and seventh scoring two runs to stay within reach but Jake Hjelli’s three run home was the sealing blow to the Trappers who fell in the series going 1-2.
