The Pierre Governor Golf team behind Haley Nadeau, who had the best score for the Govs finish in fifth place as a team in Brookings on Thursday.
Nadeau led the way with a 12 over par, 84 which was good for ninth overall and just 10 shots behind the winner of the day, Reese Jansa of Harrisburg, who had a two under par, 70. Ellie Jo Simpson shot an 87 for Pierre, second best on the team for the day and Hadley Hart had a 90 and Madilyn Brakke finished with a 93.
As a team the Governors shot a 66 over par, 25 shots off the winning team, Mitchell, with plus-41 on the afternoon.
The Governors next meet is in Watertown, Monday, May 24. Tee time for the invite is at 10:00 AM.
