The Pierre Governor Tennis team will open up its season at home as they compete for the first time since the 2019 state tournament. The Govs will host Rapid City Central and Mitchell Thursday at Griffin Park.
Just like any other spring sport, heading into 2021 gives a lot of unknowns for the team and for everybody’s early season opponent. Head Coach of the Pierre Governors, Steve Steele, echoes the unknown…
But Steele believes they are at the advantage heading into the year…
Steele says those three guys are bringing back plenty of experience for the Govs…
Steele is excited for how those sophomores and freshman from two years ago have gotten stronger and better…
The Governors will face Mitchell at 11:00 to begin the day and then at 3:00 the Govs will face Rapid City Central. All the matches will be at Griffin Park in Pierre.
