FORT PIERRE — The Fort Pierre City Council is meeting tonight at the South Dakota Municipal League building in Fort Pierre. The Local Board of Equalization is meeting first at six PM with the Fort Pierre City Council meeting at 6:15 pm. Council members will consider approval of the agenda and declare any conflicts of interest before hearing reports from city officials. The Council will consider the annual siren service agreement with Frontline Warning Systems and will make a proclamation for the city’s response to Covid-19. Council members will consider awarding the bid for annual chip sealing work and will consider authorization to advertise for curb and gutter projects, the 2nd Avenue Street project and part-time summer staff. The Council will set three public hearings. One is for a retail on-off sale malt beverage and South Dakota Farm Wine license for the Dam Store and More. The second is a transfer of a similar license from T’s Tavern to Westside Bar and the third is for a temporary liquor license for the Pat Duffy Community Center and an event on May first at the Stanley County Fairgrounds. Temporary liquor licenses will also be considered for the Longbranch at the Stanley County Fairgrounds for events on March 19th and 20th and April 2nd and 3rd.
