The Stanley County Buffaloes hung tough for first quarter against a great White River squad on Thursday in Ft. Pierre but the Tigers used a 13-0 spurt in the second quarter to fuel a 80-42 win over the Buffaloes.
The Buffs trailed just 18-12 after the first quarter and got the first bucket of the second but in a blink of an eye, White River scored the next 13 to pull to a 31-14 lead and Stanley County wasn’t able to inch any closer after that as the continuous clock was enable in the second half. Leading the way for White River was Joe Saylor who dropped in a game high 27 as Colbe Scott and Dylan Marshall finished with 14 and 12 on the evening. Nathan Cook put a team high 12 points and nine rebounds for Stanley County as Cormac Duffy finished with 10.
The Buffs are back to .500 as they travel to Wall on Saturday for a boys and girls doubleheader starting at 2:00.
